Arun (Sriram), Manu (Bhoomika) and Sriram (Akash) form the three pivotal corners of the movie and the entire story hinges around them. Arun and Sriram are great friends and Arun's mother (Radhika) treats Sriram as her son. Arun's father (Raghuvaran) is a strict disciplinarian and constantly blames his son for lacking it.Meanwhile, Arun chances to meet Manu and falls flat for her charms and smartness. He starts to build love castles around him and his ladylove - - Manu, completely ignorant of the fact that she is already in love with Sriram. Frequent meetings soar up Arun's hope and one fine day as he makes up his mind to propose to her, Manu informs him that she is passionately in love with his best friend - - Sriram, and wants to get married to him.The revelation proves shocking for Arun who checks himself from expressing his mind and keeps his feelings to himself. Yet, he continues to pine for Manu. In the meantime, Sriram gets a job in Libya and asks Arun to take care of Manu until he completes his assignment abroad. But as luck would have it, Manu's mother decides to forcibly get her married to another man against the apprehension that her daughter and Arun were in love. The fear stemmed from the fact that the couple were spotted on the terrace, speaking to each other.Upset by her mother's decision, Manu brings it to the light of Arun and requests him to help her marry her lover - - Sriram. Arun, a die-hard fan of Manu, who would do anything for her, abducts her from the house and keeps her away at an isolated place. Arun takes up a job for the sustenance of both even as gossip that the couple has eloped circulates like wildfire. Duringthe time, Sriram returns from Libya and informs Manu that he is forced to marry another woman and hence could not marry her. Sriram, thus, makes a smooth exit out of the love triangle. By that time, Manu also realises the great lover in Arun.
