The film starts off with a rishi (Rao Ramesh) telling a group of villagers of an impoverished village that a messiah would come to the village to change their fortunes soon. On the other hand in Hyderabad, Seeta Rama Raju (Mahesh Babu), a low earning cab driver accidentally meets Subashini (Anushka), daughter of a rich businessman (Tanikella). She is sort of iron ‘leg’ - as she brings only bad luck to the Seeta Rama Raju.A shoot-out and an accident prompts Seeta Rama Raju to go to Rajasthan. There he also meets Subasini again. Meanwhile, a group of villains attack both the couple. When Seeta Rama Raju regains consciousness, he is landed in the same curse afflicted village where he is treated as God. What the village problems are and why he is revered as God are answered in the climax.
